32, 5'4", 145. I need to eat 1500 to cut very slowly. Sucks.

Hi where did you find out how many calories I need to cutt??

I don't do cardio so I subtract calories from what MFP tells me to maintain.

Ye my only cardio I do is resistance training I.just lift the weights fast to get my heart rate pumping no hanging around in the gym

How do I lose weight without exercise or working out?

Right now about 2500-2700...it looks like I've lost about 2-3 Lbs in the last month, so pretty slow. I'm not currently doing anything major with my diet...I was pretty lax from about mid November through January with exercise and have gotten back into the regular as of February.

Most likely I'll drop my calories to about 2300 here at some point...I always start cutting my winter weight slowly and then just decide to suck it up for a month or two and lose more aggressively.

You consume fewer calories than you expend. You burn calories 24/7...most of your energy expenditure is you being alive...then going about your day to day and finally exercise which in most cases is a relatively small element of your overall energy expenditure.

You should check out the stickies...they explain how this tool is designed to work and lots of other ins and outs and whatnots...

I'm on a diet (and exercise) break due to a broken bone, and am "maintaining" (actually losing slightly) on ~2250 calories.

When I'm not broken and am exercising as per normal I lose on average 1.2 pounds a week on ~1900 calories.

5'6, 37 yo, 146 lbs. I lose around 1 lb a week on 1450 calories (plus eating exersize calories so I often eat closer to 1700 calories).

I started out at 155.5 and this morning I weighed 145 in 6 weeks. Im slotted 1300 a day and I get 300-600 extra calories a day from exercise. I never eat them all. Yesterday I had 550 left at the end of the day. So I would say 1300-1500 a day with a loss of 1.5 a week. In that 6 weeks I have eaten out 5-6 times, had chocolate and wine. I just allow calories for it.

By the way I am 46 5'3" and my CW is 145.00, My goal is 135 by June and 126 by December.

I’m 52, 5-7” and 125. I maintain on 2000, lose at 1700 and lose really, really fast on 1300. That being said, I can’t really sustain at 1300 for more than a few days without getting binge-y. 1700 is a cakewalk.

That's painful to read. I maintain on around 1600 (if I manage to walk out for 30mins which I mostly can do lately; otherwise just 1500). 37yo, 5'7 and 135lbs. Very sedentiary.
Just had a rough day. 700cal above maintanance... it will take me 3-4 days to undo :( So tired of this...
