I know this varies WILDLY just wanted to see who is managing with the most calories and still able to lose. I'm pretty consistently eating about 2K which at one point was my maintenance haha. Love to see who's able to up their NEAT/TDEE and managing to cut on a decent amount of food.
I'm 37, 5'6" and 155lbs for reference

If I can behave myself and stick to my calories....I can do 1700 for a 0.5lb/week loss.
30, 5 feet even, 133lbs.

28 and I am currently on a cut at about an average of 1.5lbs/week on 1650. I want to get to 160lbs. I am 5’10” and 170lbs. After my cut I want to try a bulk! I would love to lose or maintain on higher calories!!0

I'm not happy FOR you but it makes me feel better to see I'm not alone here. Whenever I post this fact I have people (one man especially on MFP) tell me it can't be true, or I've done damage to myself. It does seem like I should be able to eat slightly more but....nope.3 -
TDEE calculators and MFP tell me I need to eat less than 1800 cals to maintain my weight of 125lbs/5ft 2/48/lightly active but I can maintain on closer to 2000 calories.
So I would be able to lose 0.5lb a week eating 1750 cals a day.0 -
5'3.75", 49 years old Being short and older, not fun in the calorie world.
Maintaining on 2100 (ended my bulk 4 weeks ago) right now I can cut on anything less than that, but I keep my cutting cals very small, I am not in any hurry. With a successful bulk, I only have a little extra fluff I want to rid this time.
4 years bulk&cut/recomp cycles I have made improvements in body composition, I can keep my activities up (NEAT) and exercise (EAT) and keep a decent maintaining number after I lose. Eating more is a major goal I work towards cause I love to eat.1 -
41, 5'8", 177lbs, maintain at about 2200-2300 net
I cut at 1900 gross because slow and steady doesn't work for me mentally. I can and have cut on more cals (2000 net), but can't manage that right now.0 -
I am 5'4 and weight 134 pounds for a slow cut I can do with 1800 calories for a more agressive cut about 1500. I can't really go below 1700 calories or I get quite Hangry. Not to pleasant for the people around me0

Our stats are pretty close, though I am obviouse male.
I am 38, 5'6" 150. I usually cut on 1750-1800, maintain 2100ish. I don't do much cardio, have a sedentary job, and lift 4x week1 -
30, 5' 11" and weigh 188 pounds. I cut 1lb. to 1.5 lbs. a week on 1800 calories, and my TDEE varies day to day since when I'm not at my desk job I'm pretty active. Slow and steady works for me.0

MFP gives you a starting point, then you refine that number with time/experience. Explore the app/site a bit more, don't just rush right into the forums.1 -

I heard mfp isn't very accurate2 -

It's fine. Accurate is an illusion, but you have to start somewhere.3 -
Just need a second opinion0

When I was losing back in 2014 while doing a good amount of exercise I think I was losing about a pound a week at probably an average 2500 calories a day.1
-
At the beginning of my cut I was losing about 1.5 lbs per week on 2650 calories. I'm on week 9 now and I've had to made adjustments; currently cutting on 2350.0

How do I lose weight without exercise or working out?0 -
Right now about 2500-2700...it looks like I've lost about 2-3 Lbs in the last month, so pretty slow. I'm not currently doing anything major with my diet...I was pretty lax from about mid November through January with exercise and have gotten back into the regular as of February.
Most likely I'll drop my calories to about 2300 here at some point...I always start cutting my winter weight slowly and then just decide to suck it up for a month or two and lose more aggressively.1 -
I eat 1200 net.. which works out to 1500-1800 gross after activity.0

You consume fewer calories than you expend. You burn calories 24/7...most of your energy expenditure is you being alive...then going about your day to day and finally exercise which in most cases is a relatively small element of your overall energy expenditure.
You should check out the stickies...they explain how this tool is designed to work and lots of other ins and outs and whatnots...3 -

I'm on a diet (and exercise) break due to a broken bone, and am "maintaining" (actually losing slightly) on ~2250 calories.
When I'm not broken and am exercising as per normal I lose on average 1.2 pounds a week on ~1900 calories.
35, 5'5", 184lbs0 -
5'6, 37 yo, 146 lbs. I lose around 1 lb a week on 1450 calories (plus eating exersize calories so I often eat closer to 1700 calories).0

5'6, 34 year old, 146 lbs. Cutting on about 1400-1500 calories a day. Currently losing about 0.5lbs a week.0
