My 1st post here.
I started running a 18 mths ago and since then have run 5ks, 10ks, 10 miles, half marathons, Full marathons.
I have lost 20 kilos by running and eating mostly healthy foods. I now want to lose 10 more kilos (Currently 102Kilos) to get my BMI to 25. I never kept track of food I ate until today.
The 3 pieces of fish I would normally eat with my dinner would have 1500 Calories. I had no idea. Add that to all the other calories I was eating and its surprising that I was did not put back up all the weight.
Im going to log all my food intake and keep it updated here. If anyone else is just starting off feel free to send me a friend request.

Welcome,
It can be rather eye opening when you first start logging!
I think these two links are extremely helpful and can help you get the most out of MFP:
http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1234699/logging-accurately-step-by-step-guide/p1
http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1
The first covers accurate logging and some of the tools in MFP to help you make things easier. The second discusses caloric needs and setting goals. These two posts completely changed my MFP experience and helped me be much more successful, so I hope they do the same for you.

Thanks 4Legs,
I just read those posts. I had being tracking everything to the gram on a digital scale since I started. Every single morsel of food that has passed my lips has being tracked
I did not realize until I started using MFP that I was getting no where near enough sugars or carbs. Il have to start adding these to my diet.
THanks for taking the time to reply0
