Runners: BEST hydration/fuel belt please?!

Good morning,
I picked up long distance running about 2 years ago. I have done a half, a full, and a 25 K trail. I have another half on August 21st and would love to purchase (and have possession of  ) a hydration/fuel belt. Any advice, links, brands, stores would be great...the more specific the better!
I would like to have something semi-sweat/water proof, stays in place, pocket for a phone/ID/keys/chappie and some sort of water bottle. I do not mind spending a little more, as new running gear always makes me want to run more!
Thank you!

How about something like this:

I think it might just do the trick for what you are looking for.0 -
On my long runs here in the desert I've been using a Camelbak Octane (newest model). I've never liked running with a Camelbak before getting this one. It carries 70oz in the bladder, plus has pockets for your gear (phone, TP, gels, hat, etc).
I also have just about ever hip belt known to man - single bottle, double bottle, 1.5 bottle, and a fuel belt. I use these for distances requiring less water.0 -
I haev a camelbak - the smallest one I found. It has a pocket for keys/walls and it carries a decent amount of water. It doesn't slide around or anything either.0

I heard that SPIBELT had added a bottle to one of their belts but I can't find it. I have one and have added a clip on water bottle to it.
I also have a 4 bottle Fuel Belt for the longer runs. Pouch holds my phone and keys. I don't carry a lot when I'm running though.0 -
I love the Ifitness belts!! they are extremely waterproof. check out there website and there are several options available. I also have a nathan sports belt. I use it more for my long training runs becaues it has two good size water bottles. then, use my ifitness on race day.0

I use the Proform hydration fuel belt that they sell at walmart. It is surprisingly comfortable and has pockets to hold my ID, gu, and Zune... I wear it with the bottles on the front though so everything is more accessible.

I can hardly wait to get in shape enough that I can run (again). I used to run all the time in the US Navy (many years ago) and loved it. Soon, 6 months or so, I should be able to get back to running.0

I just got a 4-bottle Amphipod about 3 weeks ago, and so far I love it. I compared Amphipod, Fuel Belt, and Nathan belts before settling on the Amphipod.
http://www.amphipod.com/products/hydration/hydration-belts/runlite-hydration-belts/runlite-4
Pros:
*The pouch/pocket is big enough to hold my keys, ID and cash, smartphone, and chews or gels. (The Fuel Belt pouches are tiny)
*The bottle holders and pouch are moveable and removable. That way I can slide all the bottles to the back so my arms won't brush against them as I run. Or if I'm going on a short run and don't use all 4 bottles, I could take the extra holders off, not that I bother.
*The belt fits snugly, but is totally comfortable. It's a little bulky, and I notice the bounce for the first 5 minutes of my run, but after that, I forget all about it.
*I can get the bottles in and out of the holders easily with one hand. I needed 2 hands to slip them into the elastic holders on the other brands, but maybe that's just me.
Cons:
*The only one I've thought of so far is that since the bottles snap into the holder rather than slide into an adjustable elastic pouch (like the Fuel Belt and Nathan belts), you have to use only their bottles if you need replacements. They're cheapo plastic bottles, but they're not inexpensive.0 -
google CAmelback Flashpro
I love mine! I dont like the bottles just because i hate hearing that sloshing sound when its partially empty and i dont like trying to dring out of bottles while i run. The Flashpro is a belt with a removable bladder. Theres a long drinking tube from it that you would bite down and take sips from it. It has tons of pocks in it for gels, keys, phone, $. Its very comfortable and I use it when I do my 20 mile long runs.0 -
Bump and tagging ....what a great topic!0

Have the same belt, pretty much agree, except that if I feel it bounce, that just means I haven't adjusted it tight enough.
I like the versatility of adding removing bottles & moving where they rest0 -
Great suggestions! I have now Googled (<---love how it is a verb now haha) each one. Thinking about the Amphipod...are the water bottle clips fully removable (so the plastic nob is not still part of the belt)??0

i use a handheld nathan pack which has a 20 oz bottle, and a pocket for keys and snacks. I tried all the belts, but just cannot get used to the weight around my waist. I am also curious as to what packs/belts people think are the best because i design these products for work!0

Yes, you can completely remove the bottle holster if you want to use fewer bottles. The pouch is also removable.

Thanks! You are very, very helpful....thanks for the picture! I think I will get this one!0 -

No problem! But I just realized that I gave you the link to the wrong product. Mine is the RunLite AirStretch 4. The one I linked to earlier was just a RunLite 4, I don't know what the difference is, but it looks like maybe it has a smaller pouch. Anyway, this is the one I have: http://www.amphipod.com/products/hydration/runlite-airstretch-40 -
I use a Fuel Belt brand mainly because I looked at pictures of runners in Runners World and elsewhere and seemed to see them the most often. Some people find that the belts jiggle or move around but I don't have that or any problem. My runs are fairly short so I bought the two bottle version. If I had it to do over I would get the four bottle and just take what I need for each run. I own three camelbacks that I use cycling but I can't stand them when I run. Different strokes...0

I have a camelback!0

Bottom line all these things come down to personal preference. I used to use a fuel belt, but switched to a handheld a 4 or 5 years ago.
I find they all feel good in the store when the bottle are empty, but the real test is what happens after a couple hours.0 -
Had an ultimate direction - super cheap, small, and very comfy.
Recently bought a fuel belt for longer runs - much more 44, not comfortable, and the bottles leak all over me...
I guess you get what you pay for? If you're paying for a brand name, that is...0
