Hi, my name is Dae, and i currently weigh 208 pounds. I had a baby 2 years ago and i’ve been struggling to lose the weight. I would start working out and then lose the mojo to continue. My goal is to lose 50-60 pounds by the end of the year. possibly 20 pounds by June. I’m looking for people who i could stay motivated with and successfully reach my goal with & help them reach theirs as well. I am thinking about doing a 30 day water fast for the month of March with plenty of exercise. If anyone wants to be motivation partners i’m for it! Just let me know ☺️.

You need calorie deficit, a water fast is a bad idea.

Hey what's up. I'll definitely send a request to help with your weight loss journey. But I think you shouldn't do a water fast. Don't get me wrong, you'll lose the weight, but it won't be sustainable for long and you might risk getting into a rebound after the fast and gain more weight.

I've lost 70 pounds so far (started at 340+ lbs and now I'm at 271.6). I've done it by counting my calories and a bit of exercise. Even then, I had like a little stretch where I didn't exercise (my elliptical broke) and I was still losing weight. I ain't gonna lie, counting calories is a pain in the *kitten* at first. But it definitely works. The only thing I've dropped since I began was soda. Like I'll still have some street food/fast food and whatnot, but in moderation. Same thing with soda; I can have it and check my calorie count and still be good, but I'd rather fill up by eating food than waste calories on a drink.

Calorie counting has been a huge game changer for me. My doctor would say "you should only have this amount of pasta if you ever eat some" while he held his hand out. I would think to myself "nah hold up, if I get lasagna I'm going in on that." With calorie counting, I can have a bigger portion of that lasagna, but that's high in calories so I drop other things like maybe a Hawaiian Roll or something. Basically, I know what I'm eating and know how much I can have. All that matters is that I hit or stay under my calorie goal. I can eat McDonald's for the day, and I can still lose weight if the calorie count is good. Problem here though is that McDonald's has high calories and it probably wouldn't fill me up because I'm big as hell. But I can make that choice.

I have a lot of tips and advice if you'd like to look into it. Either way, I want everybody on this app to succeed. Seeing everybody else make positive strides towards their goals motivates me too.
