Birth Control and Appetite

Hello. I was recently just on a birth control called Junel Fe which I believe to be the generic brand of Loestrin. I have noticed a decrease in my appetite since I have started taking them. I still eat but I am just not overly hungry like I usual am. Anyone else experience this?

I wish! I just started birth control a few weeks ago and I feel like I can't get enough to eat!0

yes!!! I'm going to get back on it for that reason! I have gained some weight since I stopped taking it.0

I was also taking loestrin fe. (that's the generic)0

I'm on nuva ring and did the exact same thing. I love the fact that I don't have cravings etc that are related to hormones.0

I actually quit taking that same pill recently because a) It made me in to a crazy lady and
I had ZERO appetite. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was the pill.

The loestrin fe reduces appetite? My Dr just prescribed them to me because I have issues with irregular bleeding..etc. She thinks my hormones are out of whack and may also be why I am having such a difficult time losing weight. I haven't started them yet because I was afraid that they would make me gain weight...I'd rather have a period for 3 weeks than gain another 15 lbs!!!! Have you experienced weight loss on them??0

I have been on it for almost a week and I can say it has not in increased my appetite at all. If anything I seem to get full faster. But that could be since I just got over TOM last week. As for moods..I has kind of evened me out. I can't really say cause as I started taking the pill I decided to quite smoking. So I have been irritatble as it is from that.0

I know this is kinda an old topic..but I wanted to share that I am on day 5 of loestrin fe 24 and I have lost 2 lbs...so I think it's leveling out my hormones now so that I can actually lose weight:-)0

OOh I did I ended up going off since, but drinking a big glass of water right before i ate and then another while eating helped me from over eating.0
