I got a good ole fashioned smacking if I ever said I Can't! And my Mom took care of that!2

I was also not allowed to quit things as a kid. for example, I was a Girl Scout until high school and I really didn't want to.
I think it's OK to change your mind about things.

I’m in for over five years of Not Quitting and have lost 191#
I now weigh my high school football playing weight of 185. That was in1966.
Whenever I lost weight I would quit the program and gain it all back plus more.
This time I learned, at at age 65, Don’t Quit!
Your Dad was wise!!Good lesson to learn when you’re young!2
