Exercise Calories

Someone told me that I should be eating back the calories I've burned doing exercise. Will I still lose weight doing that? Wouldn't I lose more if I stuck to the amount of daily calories the app gives me and leave the exercise ones alone?

Losing more weight isn’t necessarily a good thing. You’d lose more muscle mass that way, and if your deficit becomes too high/net calories become too low, you can run the risk of developing serious health issues (hair loss, fatigue, hormonal imbalances, irregular/stopped menstrual cycle, and that’s just the beginning of the list). Eating exercise calories back helps you maintain a consistent deficit and fuel your body.
