Either what you actually played, what you are playing or what you imagine you want played.

We are having Metallica - Nothing Else Matters for our first dance. :) BUT we're doing a cello remix to marry his love of metal with my love of classical.

    I have always loved this song and wanted this a my "First Dance" since I was a young girl.
    When I married my first husband, "Why Can't This be Love" by Van Halen was the first dance. Apparently it wasn't love and we divorced about 11 years later.

    When I married my current husband, it was a JP civil ceremony with a BBQ reception. When we re-newed our vows in a church ceremony on our 10th anniversary, no reception/no dance. I thought I would never have my dream first dance with my husband.

    Last April at my step daughter's wedding, the DJ announced a special dance for a special couple. You guessed it - I finally had the "First Dance" with my husband of 15 years, thanks to my wonderful stepdaughter...

    i LOVE that!! That is so cool!

    We just went to the JOP, so no first dance song. BUT my husband is a musician, and he actually wrote me a song before we were married, so that's pretty cool :blush:

    One song that we always thought of as "our" song is the Black Keys "Have Love Will Travel". We met here on mfp, and he lived in CA and I was in FL, so we did long distance for the first year and a half, and that song just kinda summed it up for us :smile:
