Need help controlling portion/late night snacking

I eat very healthy, whole grains, fruits, good home cooked Indian food. I just eat more than I am suppose to. At night I'll snack unnecessarily on granola, nuts, yogurt - they all healthy but I am eating this at 11 pm when I've already consumed 2200 calories for the day. If I like something I just keep eating until I'm uncomfortably full or the food in point is over. PLEASE HELP

Try to keep busy and go to bed early1

One trick I use is to make myself a cup of decaf coffee. I drink it slowly. By the time I am done, the intense food cravings are gone. I also do this after a meal. It gives my mind time to realize I am full.1

Sometimes I brush my teeth to make me not want to continue snacking. Not wanting to dirty my teeth again is a deterrent, but also the minty flavor can throw off how foods taste right afterwards.1
