Yes cucumber and tomato!! I do this with my Greek yogurt! A little Himalayan or truffle salt. Maybe Sicilian if I want it spicy. I’ll even add sautéed zucchini and squash. Savory yogurt/cottage cheese is so good.

tomatoes or paprika. If I don't have anything else around, then some ketchup. I can't imagine eating cottage cheese with something sweet on it.
Sometimes if I'm in a hurry and need to eat something, cutting up some veggies and adding cottage cheese works fine:
That's 200 gr cottage cheese, 300 gr tomato + cucumber. ~210 kcal and 20gr of protein, takes 2 minutes.

I like my cottage plain with paprika sprinkled on top. Black pepper works too.
I hear doritos is making a wave a 'tasty' additive to cottage cheese.1 -

Oddly enough, I tend to think of savory as the default mode for cottage cheese. I didn't learn to eat it with sweet things until I was an adult!
FYI - cottage cheese is recommended as a substitute for ricotta cheese if you can't find good ricotta in your area. It works wonders in lasagna or mixed into pasta.
I actually use both ricotta and cottage chese in my baked ziti!2 -

This must be strange because I haven't seen anyone list it but it is really good with cranberry sauce over it. I make homemade sauce and add it to the cottage cheese the same as you would any fruit. That is really good. I don't remember why I started doing this but I now freeze cranberries when they are in season so I have some on hand when I want them.5

This really isn't an "add in" but has become a favorite of mine! I take a 16 ounce container of 2% cottage cheese and put in in a blender with about 1/2 a packet of dry ranch dip mix with a few table spoons of water and blend until smooth (might need a bit more water to get dip consistency). Pour it right back in the container and pop it in the fridge. Next day I have a protein packed ranch dip! Can't tell you how many recent late, no energy dinners have consisted of that with pepper strips and carrots!6

I love wheat puffs or another cereal like corn flakes with the cottage cheese! So good!
When I’m feeling like something super comforting, I’ll eat cottage cheese on top of buttered French bread. So good! Brings back the feels from childhood!1 -

My mom used to do this. If she used green jello it counted (in her mind) as a vegetable . . . ah, the 70s!!
