At the end of the month so, you know I am ready to eat the entire house, but I haven't. I've been knowing since Friday and I did good with food all weekend and I worked out yesterday. But today..................I've eaten well, but I am not up to going to the gym. Maybe I will take daughter to park just to say I got out. Probably will skip dinner or just have a bowl of cereal. This is a real accomplishment for me, because I would have eaten an entire pizza, or box of ice cream, or anything off the left side of any fast food menu. Just wanted to vent. Thanks for listening!

Losing my job got me started on losing weight.

Heck, if I must be home and job hunting, might as well look awesome when I get an interview, right?

Here is a good motivator then: (given off yahoo so yes and no on accuracy but I can see it as true) With the job market being tight, appearance is an even bigger factor in determining employment then ever before. So the slimmer and healthier you are the better your chances of employment. Considering the rising cost of healthcare, that companies can legally charge more to insure obese employees, and the realization that its hypocritical for a company to give off a "healthy image" and have obese employees It seems logical. And its not discrimination if you have two people with identical qualifications and choose the one with the better image for the company

Getting laid off 2 years ago jumpstarted my weight loss as well - I couldn't fit into any of my interview clothes, didn't have the cash to buy new ones, didn't have the cash to be going to happy hour 3-4 nights a week with coworkers....I dropped 10# in 3-4 mos!

On the job thing - I'm really sorry. I know how hard it is out there right now (hubby is still looking for that "perfect" job)...hang in there, and go to as many workshops and such as possible. Have tons of copies of your resume with you all the time so that if you start up a conversation with a random person and they're like - Hey! You're JUST what we're looking for! You can be like BAM here's my resume.

Best of luck to you - keep up the good work on MFP and in your job search :flowerforyou:

I love this quote - it always makes me think that God is endorsing burglary

That is the most dangerous kind of thinking in my opinion...(laugh)
