Anyone want to be friends with a newbie Vegan?

Hi guys!!
I'm Violet & I'm taking some time off work to focus on myself & getting in beach body shape before my wedding next year (so I'll be on A LOT). None of my friends in real life enjoy fitness much, so I'm looking for a few good people who motivate & inspire me. Hopefully I can do the same for you in return!

A little about my diet - I'm recently vegan (3 months & counting), with many food allergies: Tree nuts, coconuts, mangos, mushrooms, shellfish.... If anyone has food allergies like me, let's chat! It's hard sometimes finding healthy meal ideas without these things in it & I'd love to talk to someone who feels my pain lol. Seems like coconut water is in everything these days. If anyone has any vegan allergy free meal ideas without these things in it, peas msg me!

We also just got a "home gym starter kit" as my bro called it. An elliptical, stair climber, exercise bike, free weight/kettle bell set, so I'd love advice from anyone who has any tips on how long/often I should use the damn things. Ripped people help! Your girl wants abs... An ab? Just 1?? Please?!

    Add me :smile: I'm not vegan but I'm trying to incorporate a lot more meals or snacks that are either vegan or vegetarian. As for meal ideas, I have a quicky that I love: any bread of your choice, guacomole as a spread, cucumbers and lime juice. It is soooo good! I'm also trying to get back into shape and be more active (taking a variety of fitness and dance classes right now).

    I don't have allergies so I do have coconut milk/oil sometimes, along with nuts like cashews, but it's not like my whole intake is that, there's plenty of other vegan options! My diary is open anyway if you fancy ideas :)

    You're so lucky you don't have allergies! I even have to read labels on shampoo/chapstick, basically everything. Ugh if one more friend offers me nutella... lol friend request sent :)

    Can you also add me? I've been vegan on and off for the past 6 or so months and recently moved into whole food plant based diet and am looking for more friends to brighten up my feed.

    Hi, I just posted under newbie. I am a long time vegetarian who believes veganism is the healthiest diet. I just started following Dean Ornish's plan to reverse heart disease after finding out my heart Cath showed a 20-40% blockage. Dean Ornish advocates an very low fat, almost vegan diet. The only other thing he allows besides plants are ff milk and ff milk products and egg whites. I currently do not drink milk. I drink soy milk, but I may need to rethink this due to high fat content of soy milk.

    So I'd be delighted to be your friend.
