I brew a gallon pitcher of organic green tea almost daily at home and I add just one packet of organic stevia per 20 oz. glass. I go through almost an entire gallon per day not to mention the water I drink because I only drink water, green tea,raw whole milk( 8oz per day) and coffee ( one cup per day) . I really hope the benefits of green tea for health and raising your metabolism is true...

I totally cut out any refined sugars and artificial sweeteners so this limits my beverage choices. Anyone else?

Yep, water, green iced tea i make with stevia and 1 cup of coffee. I do treat myself to 1-2 sodas a week while watching movies with the hubby.

I only drink green tea now instead of water. I just make a pitcher (sadly I only have a small one) and I keep refilling that. Throw a green tea bag in (and sometimes a flavoured herbal one) and let it sit in the fridge and just keep adding water to it until the end of the day. Next day take a new tea bag and start over. Sometimes I have to be careful of the tea bag being in too long though because it can become quite bitter but I think the herbal tea bag is helping with that because it hasn't been tasting bitter lately.....

I almost drank a half gallon of decaf green and pomegranate iced tea last night because I was so refreshing. Funny thing is that I drank it before but it seemed unusually refreshing last night. I have also have cut out pop and even juices for the most part only drinking fat free milk and water but mostly water. I wonder if we find it so refreshing because that is the only sweetened drinks we are consuming?:drinker:

I agree. My newest obsession is Steaz zero calorie citrus iced tea. The only sweetener in it is stevia, and it tastes great. Whole Foods sells it - five 16 oz cans for $5. If anyone else likes it or knows where else to find it, let me know!

Green tea gets acid reflux going like nothing else. I love it, but can't drink it because of a hiatius hernia. Green tea relaxes the muscles of the stomach causing a back-flow up the esophagus for anyone with that condition. I would recommend anyone drinking green tea in large batches to keep an eye out for heartburn, or that sense of acid burn in back of the throat. It might be an indication to cut back on quantities.

I love green tea... and I have it very regularly. I must say i am concerned.... a gallon + coffee. that is a lot of caffeine. the other thing to think about is how much water you are drinking on top of all that.... be careful not to flush out all your good nutrients. It can make you feel light headed and unbalanced.

Good for you, for giving up all the sugars! That is awesome!!

I think you’re right! I love water but I need something else with a little flavor and sweetness... I don’t crave pop/ soda the carbonation actually burns my mouth now.

Thank you! I guess I never gave the caffeine a second thought because I’m one of those weird people who can drink a Grande Caramel Frappacino with 4 extra espresso shots and then go to bed and sleep like a baby. I obviously don’t drink that anymore because of the calories... but I used to work in healthcare.

    Thanks, didn’t know that.

Ahahahaha I love it! I thought I was the only one who admires nice eyebrows!!! People think I'm weird when I say something like "wow you have great eyebrows!" And if you are blonde to where it looks like you have no eyebrows, I can't handle it. Color them in or something! :P

Oh and my vitamin has green tea in it supposedly, but I think I might try making a pitcher. I have some green tea with mint in my cabinet.
