Does anybody know how to calculate calories burned during a HIIT workout on the treadmill? This is my workout, I start with 3-5 min warm up at 4 incline & 4 speed
5 sets 4 in -7 sp 30secs- 30 rest
5 sets 4.5in-7.5sp 30secs-30 rest
5 sets 5in-8sp 20secs0- 1min rest
5 sets 5.5in- 8.5sp 10secs-30 sec rest, walk it off for 5 mins. I usually finish between 27-30 mins
Does anybody know of any apps that can track my HIIT workouts or how I can figure this out?

How long in total? 27 or 30 minutes? Are you really doing HIIT or just intervals? 300 calories? It’s not easy to say, you need to track your intake for awhile to determine your calories burned.

The treadmill should be able to tell you.

Essentially bodyweight in lbs * 0.6 * total miles will good you a decent approximation.

I guess it would be intervals since I do have rest periods in between. My treadmill does track but not sure if it's accurate to my body weight. Thanks guys

The cool thing about running is it doesn't matter how fast you go, you burn roughly the same calories. What is important is how far you go. The formula above is about as close as you will get.

    Good luck.
