Keto and intermittent fasting

Hey everyone!

My name is raven and I’ve been doing Keto for 14 months and have adopted it as a lifestyle that I intende to maintain forever! I intermittent fast everyday typically 18-20 hours depending on the day and how busy I am.
I began at 94kg in January 2017...being 5’4” that was too heavy and I didn’t feel good about myself.
Fast forward to today, I’ve lost 28kg (61lbs) and am now 66.5kg!! Woohoo! I am within one kilo of the “normal” BMI range for my height - something I’ve NEVER been even close to.

I would love to have friendship and support from others who live the way I live!

    help keto in the UK.... do you count total carbs or net carbs ? I have tried doing keto for the last 6 weeks, I lost 10lb but have put on 4lb !!!! due to I think not really understanding my macros and not once did my urine sticks say that I was in ketosis.
    I am restarting keto tomorrow including exercise and hopefully stress free as I walked out of my horrible job which was making me feel so horrible about myself ... so tomorrow ...new start to the new me !
    also I have read that you can change mfp to include net carbs but I use the free version of mfp can anyone tell me if I can do this and if so how ?
    I have set mfp to 5% carbs - 65% fat and 30% protein and 1200 calories.
    at the moment I am 202lb and 5ft 7" and a young 52. I have put 28lbs on in the last year due to the job I had and now my goal is to get to 161lb
    it would be lovely to have the support from someone who has done keto and lost the weight they needed to and are happy with the results

    It may be possible you are consuming too much protein and not enough fat. I have my Macros set to 75% Calories from Fat and 20% Protein. Apparently your body can convert Protein to Glycogen. It is hard at first to eat fat as we have all been brainwashed that Fat Bad, Grain God. I add 35% fat Cream to my Coffee, use the full fat cheese, full fat Salad dressing, eat the fat on my striplon steak and the skin on my chicken thighs and drums (Staying away from the breast now).

    I did Keto for two weeks with good results in February but came off when I went to Mexico on vacay. Just started again on March 7th and by the end of day on the 8th my Keto Strips were showing Ketones again.

    Exogenous Ketones are supposed to help as well. I ordered some which should be here tomorrow. I play hockey so I am hoping they may help me as an energy supplement, but apparently they can help you get into Keto as well. Good Luck

    Heya! I, too, do keto and IF. Have been since August and gone from 228>160= 68lbs (I'm 5'4") My IF is usually 20:4, but once or twice a week it's more like 18:6. I love it!

    Just starting keto and IF also. I'm 5'3, 191 and 48yo. I'm thrilled to find some input from others doing the same.

    I've been doing IF for a few weeks now and definitely need to go low carb. Inching my way towards keto. Add me! I'm 35, 5'7 and my goal is to lose 40 pounds by my birthday in November.
