Friends needed for short term goal

Looking for a few friends during my stay on mfp. I an heading into the race season for cycling and need to lose 10 lbs over the next 5 weeks. About me, I am a cyclist. I race criterion and on the road. I am not that great at it, cat 4. It means beginner. My second year at it. I am 48, just took up the hobby. I am vegetarian. I started to lose weight 4 years ago. Dropped from. 250 to about 200...then stopped for a year. Then went from 220 to 170...then stopped. I am now 184 and we will see. I do note that if I make it one more year then I "kept it off", by the 5 year standard. Biking is the only thing responsible for that. OK, I am up for friends with anyone. However, FYI I will drop off after a month or so. Thanks in advance.

    2lbs a week for someone 184lb is not healthy

    Thanks Amy. I was going at around 178 over the winter and suddenly ballooned up to 184. Was hoping it was water weight, and maybe it is.... Hard to say, seems to be some kind of reaction to the increased training. Anyway all this is to say, had I stayed under 180 I wouldn't have even thought of counting calories again. This is very heavy for cycling, however, 160 would be more natural. I mostly just put down a goal, I am fine if it is 1 lb a week.

    Folks I have found a few friends but hoping for about ten so that I am accountable each day. I will do the same for you! I will regularly check on your stats and be a source of encouragement even if for 4 to 8 weeks only. I am on a cycling team and today looking to put together a similar concept only an elite group of calorie counters, let's join forces... OK
