Hi, anyone have any suggestions on a dessert that won’t blow my entire day? I have the WORST chocolate cravings like every single night and my willpower just isn’t strong enough to fight them off after being “good” all day. Help!

What fits your goals?
Some of my favorites are:
Mor nibs blueberry dark chocolate
Swiss Miss dark chocolate cocoa
Sugar free pudding, even more satisfying with peanuts!
If those dont fit my goals for the day, I will have a cup of hot tea and see how I feel. I have lemon ginger, mint and apple cinnamon on hand.

Fruit leather
You could even go for the kiddie stuff like Gushers or Fruit by the Foot.2 -
Mini ice cream bars, fudgsicles, pudding, hot chocolate, Greek yogurt mixed with chocolate whey protein or cocoa or chocolate chips, a bit of dark chocolate1
-
You could reduce portions or make a dessert with sugar substitutes and low fat ingredients.
Search for low calorie desserts. http://www.cookinglight.com/food/recipe-finder/sweet-treats-under-150-calories#bourbon-pecan-tassies-2
Maybe try out sugar free pudding or fudgesicles.
Some people like the Halo Top ice cream quite a bit.
I think in the volume eaters thread in the food and nutrition forum there ars some dessert ideas.

Look at the recipe forum here.

Crumble an oreo or two in some greek yogurt. The taste lasts longer for a lower calorie amount, and you get some protein. Do it with any cookie or sweet you like.2

I relate! Chocolove 88% dark is the only chocolate that quickly satisfies my cravings.1
-
Also, sometimes I’ll shave dark chocolate on Greek yogurt with strawberries.
Or allow really dark chocolate to slowly melt in my mouth while focusing on the flavor.2 -
Can't go wrong with strawberries sprinkled with truvia.1

I made some of those chocolate chip energy balls...they helped me with my chocolate craving!1

I make these once in a while. They are actually very tasty, even my kids likes them. You don't need to put the peppermint oil, that's just a option. I also add chopped almonds, You can add anything you'd like.
Yum. Saved. Thanks!2 -

Make a chocolate sauce out of carob powder mixed with water and blackstrap molasses. Great to dip apples in.
Or you could use a chocolate protein powder instead of the carob.1 -
Avocado chocolate pudding: blend one avocado, 2 tbsp dark unsweetened cocoa, some dark chocolate, bit of water and butter (or the milk of your preference), sweetener to taste, cinammon and pinch of salt. Healthy and no matter the craving you can't eat it all because it's SO filling!1

How many calories would that be? Sounds like a lot0 -
Hmm, I'd say about 350, 400. Depends on the avocado. A medium Hass around here is about 120g or 200 kcal. Unsweetened cocoa, about 60. Dark 85% chocolate, some 20g, adds to another 120 cals.
It's definitely not a little, but not that much either, and a hefty dose of antioxidants.0 -

Yea that's quite a bit.. unless you have tons of calories to spend (like me ATM). Avocado is great but it is very calorie dense.0 -
Measured out piece of dark chocolate and red wine...or whatever you like just account for it and make it work into your goal...remember it's not a 'diet' it's a lifestyle and it's your life...enjoy it1

An apple.2

I smash a bunch of bananas and add some cinnamon. I let it freeze over night and its my low fat ice cream.2
-
Slice and freeze a large banana, then puree it (I use a small food processor) with approx. 4 T powdered peanut butter, 2 T. unsweetened cocoa powder and 1/2 c. unsweetened soy or other plant milk. You can even add a little protein powder if you like. Yields a large mug of delicious, chocolaty "nicecream" that is *loaded* with nutrition if you are logging for micronutrients, protein, etc. If I need more protein and have enough calories I've upped the powdered pb to 6T. Can't go wrong with this.2

Well we know who's on brownie duty for my next potluck! Woo!3 -
Some of these sounds like "yeah, I eat cheeseburgers. Just no bun, no cheese, no condiments. Oh no fries, but a giant pile of steamed broccoli instead." yum!1

Several hundred pounds of Dates and a box of tissues1

Apple cut up, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and microwaved until your desired softness.
Graham cracker with fat free whipped cream to make a "ice cream" sandwich and frozen.
Sugar free fudge pops or Popsicle.
Right now I've been having heart shaped SweetTarts (V-day leftovers).1 -

It's not gross and I do this sometimes, but if what you're hoping for is a pudding substitute, you'll be disappointed.
I'm obsessed with meringue cookies. They're like 10 calories each. Kind of a pain to make, though, and I only know one bakery that ever has them.1 -

Noted. I have sometimes sprinkled protein powder over ice cream and it's oddly satisfying.1
