So today is my first day on myfitnesspal.com and I'm hoping that some accountability will help me stay on track to try to get the weight off once and for all! I've been on just about every diet out there and this time I'm going to try to eat healthier and get some exercise in! Two years ago I completed my first half marathon and am hoping to do it again this year so I have a huge goal I'm working towards. Wish me luck!

If the accountability MFP helps provide works for you the way it has for me ... and about a zillion others ... boy, get ready for happiness. :)

    Welcome!

Welcome and good luck! And what works for me is not necessarily eating "healthy"--I still eat all the things I used to eat, just in moderation. Obviously, I stay away from junk and sugar, but you don't have to eat health food to eat healthy. Add me as a friend if you'd like! :)

This is one of the best decisions you have ever made - I promise.
I have only been on here for 2 months, and as of tonight, I have lost 20 pounds!!! I was looking through peeps blogs and pictures lastnight - let me tell you ... I was so pumped. Because I know I can do this. The website makes it soooo easy to keep track of calories. And as "bjbegley" posted, I too eat what I want, just in moderation. I can also look forward to what I want/can eat for the day. If I want to splurge on something, it helps me figure how much exercise I have to do to earn back some calories. Best of luck to you ... you may add me as a friend if you wish.

I just started today, too! Add me if you like and we can work on this together!
  • Just started today as well, and thought I had done pretty good till I saw I went over my calories by over 900! Crazy stuff! But maybe this will help me get healthier. I'm not really overweight, but I don't feel healthy. I want more energy and not to be tired all the time.
