I've been using this app for about 14 days now and it's helped me lose 4 pounds. I recently had a baby at the end of October 17 I gained 60 pounds. My starting weight was 160 my ending was 220. I'm currently 216. I want to lose all the weight I gained by the begging of summer (hopefully). My question is will one day of bad eating mess up everything? I ate about 500 more calories than what I was supposed to.

Consider something, please. You're 2 weeks into losing 2 lb per week and already wanting to chuck it out the window for just one day. You might be able to recover the willingness to lose, but that one day is going take a solid week to recover from. Why not try to lose weight at 1 lb per week, for longer periods of time, instead? The 'of diet breaks and refeeds' discussion is about something that should be considered after 8 weeks in a severe deficit. Two weeks is too soon for it, but it's not to soon to reconsider your aggressive plan.

You will not undo a week of eating a deficit approaching 1000 calories a day by one day of having a 500 calorie deficit instead. If there is any impact, it will be minimal.

With regard to your timeline, if "beginning of summer" is June, it's unlikely that you will reach 160 in that time frame and maintain health. But you can make a lot of progress in that time frame so good luck to you!

to truly gain even 1 lb have to be over 3500 calories so unless you truly go crazy 1 meal or day will not screw you up.

You’re still in a deficit for the week, so it’s fine. However, losing that much weight in three months is next to impossible without destroying your health. Not to mention if you’re breastfeeding you won’t be able to keep your supply up.
