Anyone not on the keto diet.

Seems like everyone is on the keto diet. I did it and got great results but my liver enzymes, and cholesterol went through the roof. So I’m just counting calories. I’m not going crazy over counting but just the added effort of having to log everything I eat tends to help me lose weight and I’m working out of course. So the old decrease calorie and exercise is all I am going for. Any friends that are good with that and a little friendly messaging back and forth to stay motivated are welcome

I'm definitely not on keto. Add me if you'd like.5

Hell no to the Keto.
I eat 55% carbs, 15% protein, 30% fat. I've lost 80 lbs and kept it off 2 years this way.14 -
I could never survive keto...I love wine too much8
-
Not on keto; no plans to go on keto.8

No keto here! Way too restrictive. I had considered it but after charting my intake for a few weeks, I realized that all of the (healthful) foods I eat are surprisingly high in carbs. I’d be destined to fail!5

Most folks here aren't on keto. There just happen to be a lot of threads about it.7

No keto here. I have a healthy relationship with food and understand nutrition.
However, it's a tool that I could use in the future when done properly (short term and intelligently designed).0 -
Nope, not on Keto. I am doing exactly what you are... counting calories and exercising. So far, I am happy and feel a ton better!3

No keto here....two other office mates at work are but I am counting calories which works best for me!2

I see why you might have asked the question. It seems a member bumped about the last 25 keto threads (to provide the link to a couple of MFP keto forums) so there is a huge string of "keto topics" in sequence in the Introduce Yourself Forum.
Carry on.1 -
No keto here! I eat clean.. count calories and exercise. I motivate and love to be motivated. Add me, I'm a daily user.1
-
I agree, hells no to the Keto. Add me up2

I am not on Keto. I do try to make sure and eat lots of protein. Focusing on calories and overall trying to eat clean (cutting out the processed crap)! Would love to connect.2

No keto here.
A lot of people come here asking about whatever the new trendy fad diet is all about. You'll see 5776 keto threads, 36 Paleo threads, 2577 vegan threads, 13 about multi level marketing products and so on . It's inevitable but don't worry, this entire site is definitely not all keto !8 -

Don't forget intermittent fasting, it's all the fad now too. So if there are 5776 keto threads, there are probably 5775 IF threads also - many of them combining keto and IF for double the wizardry!
No keto here either, btw.5 -

What about the 2500 about ACV?
Yeah, I'm not doing keto.6 -
Yes it seems that I've forgotten a few!
Whatever diet that the Kardashians are doing is definitely the fad of the week! If Kim Kardashian wears a waist trainer, we see 5889+4 threads. If Khloe goes vegan 4 threads about it. If Kourtney does keto + IF + Vegan we see 5788 threads about it2 -
I could never do keto. I am not a big vegetable fan even though I do like many of them raw or in smoothies and I have a hard time eating much meat. Just regular calorie counting for me.2
-
And the thing is, with Keto, they still have to make sure they eat less calories than they burn.
Why make it harder than it needs to be by adding an extra level of complexity?2 -
Nope, no Keto here. Just boring, old calorie counting with a super uncool food scale3
-
Good, glad to hear from others doing similar life changes. Even in real life all my co works are going on the keto diet, so it’s nice to hear from others like me2
-
I've done it in the past. But noticed if I go off and back it's harder to stay on it and had issues w/ gal bladder from it. I prefer just a lower carb CICO diet.1

A whole lot of non-keto going on here, we just don't chat about it quite as much2

I should add to my post here that I also ate the same way when I got overweight.
It doesn't matter what your macros/carbs etc are so long as you stick to your calorie limit.
I've always eaten whatever things I like. But now, I eat whatever I like within my calorie limit.
The best diet is one you can stick to. I chose not to diet.
With Keto, nobody lasts very long, and nobody on Keto learns how to eat normally.

I happily eat all the carbs I can0

Heck to the no! 3-400g carbs a day, maintaining or losing very slowly and happy0
-
Not keto, I don't hate on it either. Whatever works for you, go for it.1

I thought about the keto diet but then I realize it's not for me just counting calories here Count Me In0
