Tired of being tired......

As a 54 year old firefighter/paramedic, the time has come for me to finally put this beast to rest. The "beast" is the extra 60 lbs I carry due to poor eating habits and exercise. On August 16th I suffered a septal wall sinus thrombosis while at work which cause a stroke in my left arm. Waking up in Neuro ICU not knowing what the future holds will make an impact one way or the other. In the words of Red....."Either get busy living or get busy dying". Hopefully this journey will be successful.....and this time next year I'm sitting here weighing 200lbs instead of 266. Any words of encouragement would be appreciated......let's do it together what do you say?

Age is nothing but a number, never too late to better yourself and by the end of it you'll feel 20 years younger. Good luck!

Female 62, I lost 150 starting 4 years ago and now maintaining 1.5 years. I think health is a more powerful motivator than appearance. It’s not easy but can be done and the rewards are priceless. Consistency is KEY.

Religiously tracking works for me - once you hit that 'finish' button for the night - there's no going back!
