Trying to get back in the groove.

So- started at 190, 6 years ago, down to 117, up to 130, up to 170 back to 155, most recently up to 205 and now at 196. I’m having a hard time with motivation and eating right and getting to the gym. All of it. I just really want some friends on here so I can see there progress and good work and all and I can hopefully feel more motivated.

It can drive you nuts, can't it? The system works if you stick with it.

You've already proved to yourself that this logging stuff has to be the rest of your life. It's going to be part of mine, too.

When I was a child I went to 200lbs, and then down to 160, and then after college to 200lbs and then to 155, and then later to 240lbs and down to 200 (glad to be 200 at that point)....then back to 250lbs and then down to 200, and then to 220lbs and down to 170lb.

And here I am, 179lbs hoping to bring it down some for cycling season. For me, the key, although I didn't recognize it at first, was exercise. If I exercise, I go down. If I don't, I'm fat.

I have to exercise for life...anyway, thought I'd share, I'm looking to add more friends so I'll send a friend request to everyone in the thread, add me if you want.

    thanks

Motivation is massively overrated, waiting for it actually bogs us down, prevents us from doing what we really should be doing, which in the case of "weighing too much" is nothing more than "eat less, move more". Maybe you should just stop trying to eat right and going to the gym, and in return also stop eating too much and start doing more things that keeps your body moving.
