Yes, lots of people and no it doesn't help.

These diet gimmicks are decades old. I knew people in the 70's chugging apple cider vinegar......they're not thin yet. I tried the grapefruit diet in the early 80's (when low fat was en vogue). I lost a few pounds but it was a low calorie diet. A low calorie diet of Twinkies would have worked too.7

The only thing that helps weight loss is eating less calories than you use. Loads of success stories on here, no ACV required6

101lbs lost eating healthy-ish. There's plenty of fruits and veggies in my diet, but there's room for shortbread cookies, potato kugel, and ice cream sandwiches, too. I eat sustainably healthy, I guess. Within a deficit.2

In the past I have found eating a fresh grapefruit every day before breakfast gave my losses a boost. That is probably more down to the increase in fibre intake than it being a grapefruit specific thing.3

No will not help unless vomiting is your thing1

My mother used to drink di-methyl sulfoxide for some reason. She's dead so I can't ask her why she did. Best I recall, someone she respected told her to.
How much do you respect whomever told you about drinking acid and sugar water?0 -
