Lean Cuisine - what if I don't eat the pasta?

Hi all,
I had the chicken in basil sauce which comes with angel hair pasta but I ate very very little of the pasta. I wonder how I can figure out the calories? clearly the protein will be the same. I don't want to say I had 1/2 of the meal because then my protein will be cut,
Any ideas? hhhmmmm....

if you're not eating it to cut carbs, i suggest you save money and just buy some sauce and chicken and make it. saves sodium too.
  • Pasta does contain some protein too.

If you took out 1/2 cup of cooked pasta - look up calories for 1/2 cooked pasta - subtract that number.

Re: previous post - I don't know that "buying" sauce would save you much sodium - prepackaged is prepackaged.
  • i wasn't intentionally NOT eating the pasta. just ate the chicken and decided to forgo the pasta.

if its a ready meal, and you dont finish it, then you can just take off whatever calories you think youve probably left, but its not going to be exact, and it wont take into account the exact nutrients. No way round this im afraid
