Hi, I'm Beth. I was on here once a long time ago and sadly gave up.
I went 7 years without a family doctor living in a rural area so my thyroid disease went untreated and I binge ate a lot without much activity (I wont lie).
My boyfriend is currently in the hospital awaiting surgery and I want and need to get healthier for the both of us. We're still young and I want to be healthy enough for us to have a family together.

Tonight I bought a scale... Im at my heaviest ever at 289.4lbs.

Get a good support system and put one foot in front of the other. It's one pound at a time. Smaller goals are easier to achieve than being overwhelmed by one larger number, at least that's been my experience. I'm down 160 lbs, but I keep looking at the 20 in front of me.

I am currently at 280 after losing 50 already, with another 56 to go. Take it slow, be patient and celebrate every small target
