Looking for people who want to keep me motivated. When I see others doing so well, it honestly makes me want to better myself. And knowing I'm not alone on this journey really helps. I was on MFP before and had great MFP friends supporting me along the way. I lost almost 50 lbs. and then lost my drive. It's back now (been logging for almost a month) but I sincerely don't want to lose it again. I just want to be a healthier version of me and I could use any and all encouragement along the way! :)

    Motivation comes from within.

    Find it.

You cannot be dependent on others for your motivation.

I have to agree with the above. While I had both a biggest loser contest at work and my 70 year old mothers promise to quit smoking if I lost 50 lbs. as a great starting motivator it won't cut it for the rest of my life. The contest ended today(I got second). and I'm only 10 lbs away from the 50 I need for my moms smoking.(that shouldn't take much time at all.

I've already decided at 50 lbs. I will have only lost roughly half of what I need to and at 49 years old I need to make it happen now and change my lifestyles. I've decided I'm monitoring food intake and exercise as well as weight on a regular basis for the rest of my life. I've learned to love walking daily even if I have to go to the gym and use a treadmill. Biking is also a big one for me and look forward to doing some longer rides again and maybe even get into a metric century ride sometime in the not too distant future.

I don't want to be that big again and short of breath so it is up to me to make that happen. God will give me the strength and will to do that I believe.

While I agree that it is up to me to find the motivation, as I stated watching others succeeds inspires me. That inspiration is part of my motivation.

I agree with the others! motivation does come from within, but it's nice to get some encouragement. I sent you an invitation!

Congrats on your success! I wish you continued success. We did a biggest loser contest at my work several years ago and I came in first. It was the kick start I needed for my healthy lifestyle change. Sadly, due to a lot of different circumstances, I lost track. But I'm in a much better place now and I want to do this again. Following other people's successes to me is inspiration and does give me the motivation I need to continue on this journey. It's always nice to have people around you that encourage you too. Thanks for taking the time to write back to me. I appreciate it. Just looking for those who can inspire me - because having that inspirational feeling keeps me motivated.
