Any budding cyclists out there...

Can anyone help, I have been cycling for nearly 2 years now and over the past 6 weeks or so when I finish my ride I seem to lose all my strength in my left hand/arm it lasts about 30-40 mins the level is even struggling to stir my porridge without having problems, I have no pain just strength....anyone have any ideas please...

    Unfortunately I've no advice except 'make an appointment with your doctor'. I'm sure the hive mind may have better advice, but that's my gut reaction FWIW. ;)

    That's usually a sign that the bike isn't really fitting you.

    See a bike-fitter.

    If nothing has changed in your bike set up in two years and this has only just happened recently I would think the catalyst was something in you changing rather than the bike.
    I would suspect nerve impingement but your Doc needs to confirm that.

    I would have your back checked. I had a nasty riding accident and every now and again I will lose all strength in my arm, mine is my right side. I have to have someone look at my back regularly to ensure everything is where it should be haha. It does help though :)

    Have you changed anything with your handlebar setup?
    Are you locking your elbows when you ride?
