As far as medical science has determined, you can't choose where you lose fat from. You lose fat, and your body decides where.

fried foods, lunch meats, dinners already made that you put in the microwave, fast food, sweets, soda's (including diet), red meats, items with a lot of sodium, greasy foods, pizza, potato chips, french fries, etc...

Any foods eaten in excess will be stored as energy for later. Belly fat is there because your body dictates it, not because of certain foods. While eating certain foods may affect metabolism, it's excess calories you need to worry about.

You can get rid of belly fat! I did!!

I cut out ALL refined sugar and white processed foods(white breads, white pasta, white rice) plus I cut out potatoes for 1 month...I wouldn't even eat them baked....

stay away from all things white and processed....they are not good for you...

Whole grains and healthy fats have been shown to target visceral fat.

It's not about what you cut out so much as what you actually add.

alcohol. in fact if you decided that you wanted more fat and specifically wanted in the belly area, I'd say drink heavily.

You can't spot reduce... you're genetically predisposed to carry your weight in certain places, and you'll lose it from some places sooner and others later.

I lose it off my belly first and sometimes will be sporting a 28" waist and 42" hips. Trust me - it sucks, too

The only thing you can do is eat a balanced diet and get regular exercise. High intensity cardio and strength training are even better. But you can't pick where it comes off.

Might not lose belly fat per se, but carbs (especially grains) cause a lot of bloat.

Within 3-4 days of going low-carb (no grains), my gut was gone.

And I remember one night cheating and eating a lot of bread, and that very night, I looked in the mirror and the gut was back.

(Oh, and as someone mentioned, alcohol will go to the belly...with that being said, I don't know if cutting alcohol, will remove previously stroed belly fat though)

    WRONG!

There is no specific food for weight loss. Weight loss is about epxanding more calories than you take in. ANYTHING can be good or bad for fat loss.

Also, spot-reducing fat is a nonsense theory. The reason some people have more belly fat than others is because there is a higher ratio of beta-2 to alpha-2 lipolypase receptors in that region. This is why women tend to hold more fat on their lower body than men.
