Help me find healthy Carbs

I utilized a medically supervised weight loss program to lose my first 60lbs. I realized how unhealthy the program was and decided to get my last 30lbs off by myself. Being healthy and eating healthy is very tough for me. I have two young kids and my husband is the epitome of the saying "meat and potatoes kinda man." I know how to eat junk food, very well in fact. And, I know how to practically starve by living off of protein only! So, right now I am working on a balanced diet full of healthy things for my body.
Here is the issue I have encountered. I am waking up and doing cardio work outs in the morning. I eat very well in the morning hours, however, find myself very hungry, weak, and shaky in the afternoon. When i feel this way, I often splurge when I get home in order to "feel better." I need suggestions for foods to eat early in the day that are full of healthy carbs that will help me feel full and give my body the energy it needs to get through the day. Any suggestions?

Google healthy carbs. and look at low glycemic foods. I like to eat high fiber cereal, wheat bread, brown rice and fresh veggies, especially broccoli, cabbage, butter beans, spinach. Good Luck0

Eat a bowl of oatmeal before a work out. Or you can include half a cup of corn to your protein and veggie/fruit or a medium potato. Eat a healthy card twice a day to keep up your energy. If you are going to work out in the morning than eat a cup of oatmeal before you work out to keep your energy up and burn the carbs.
There are many healthy carbs out there, you just have to know what they are and not use them in excess.0 -
Proteins help me. I do a lot of lowfat cheese stix, old wisonsin turkey stix, protein bars or I eat sunbutter(peanut butter replacement) 1-2 tbsp. I find proetien really does better holding off hunger and fullfills cravings longer thru day. Greek yougurt is also a good go-to. Good Luck.0

I like to buy low carb whole wheat tortillas that have some protein in them. I make wraps or chicken Quesadea's with them and use only a small amount of owfat cheese. Also those 100 calorie sandwhich thins are great. I also love brown rice, you can serve it with about anything.0

I sometimes start my day with half a cinnimon raisin english muffin, toasted, topped with Smart balance chunky peanut butter, a banana on the side and 1 cup of 2% milk. I eat early around 7 and I don't get hungry at all and usually have a small lunch. If I get hungry in the afternoons, I usually have 1 tblsp of peanut butter and a piece of fruit. I have just started on my journey, but if I eat carbs I usually have a protien of some sort to go with it, like nuts or peanut butter. Another good carb is sweet potatoes or grilled squash. When I cook sweet potatoes I bake a whole pan, peel them and freezed them, so when my family has regular potatoes, I pull out one of these and pop in the microwave. Hang in there... Way to go on the 60 lbs.0
