Fitbit calories burned

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can give me advice & tell if I’m correct with my figures.
On a daily basis I walk around 22k steps & also do a run in the gym. Today for example my Fitbit charge hr has given me 2252 calories burned in total. Daily calorie allowance is 1241 (5,2 with 20lbs to lose - currently 150 lbs). I have consumed 1618 calories today, giving me a deficit of 634. I will not be eating the 634- may wat some of it at the weekend.
Is this deficit too aggressive & will it make me lose weight? I’m skeptical about Fitbit calories - seems too much - just not sure.
Any advice much appreciated

Hi again - that should read ‘I may eat some of the 634 deficit at the weekend’. Last week I ended up with 3-4000 deficit calories which I thought was ridiculous. I couldn’t resist using some for alcohol at the weekend - but am very wary doing so. I haven’t weighed in - I do every Friday - so I suppose I will kind of get an answer to my question when I have my official weigh in at the end of this week. I just wondered what other people’s experiences of fit bit calories are?

The Fitbit reports your total daily burn to MFP; MFP provides the Fitbit Calorie adjustment based on how many more Calories Fitbit reports when compared to your MFP Activity Level goal (Sedentary, Lightly Active, Active, or Very Active). The lower MFP Activity Level you chose, the higher the Calorie adjustment for total steps.
I am 55, 5'8", 150 lbs, MFP Sedentary maintenance is 1820 net Calories. My Fitbit Calorie adjustment above Sedentary for 22,000 steps is around 2000 Cals. I eat back 100% of them in order to maintain. I have used Fitbit for two years and the adjustments have been fairly accurate for both losing and maintaining.
I do weigh all food and verify my entries, so I trust my Calorie Intake I log in MFP and eat back 100% of my Fitbit Calorie adjustment, even when the adjustment is more than 1000 Calories.
I would recommend reading through the first three posts in this thread on the MFP Fitbit Users group...

You're walking over 10 miles and working out and you think it's "too much?"
I've found my FitBit to be pretty accurate for total energy expenditure...2800-3000 per day which is pretty much what my own data indicates.0 -
Thank you for your replies - I shall read more threads about this and monitor my weight loss over the next few weeks eating some or all exercise cals & see what happens. Cheers0
