Has anyone tried this? : http://www.burnthefat.com/ Anyone read or know anything about the $40 eBook being peddled on that site?

Don't buy it, Its a waste of money.0

Just purchased it yesterday. I think it's geared more for people who are starting from zero and don't have a lot of knowledge about nutrition and exercise. It's 340 pages. (like a whole ink cartridge)
Covered: the importance of goal setting, calorie zig zagging, carb cycling....no "secrets" in here if you have been doing research and learning prior to this. I'm still going to read the whole thing in the hopes I may pick up something new.0 -
I have skimmed through it. As far as I could tell it was full of good, sound information.0

I'm am friends with a person on here that bought it and burned 2.5% of his body fat in the first month by following it (he didn't have much to lose in the first place). I haven't tried it myself, but have been considering.0

Was there something in particular you found to be off?0 -
Bought it, liked it. Didn't get through the whole thing because I suck at staying motivated for any length of time.... but I did like how it was written. No - nothing earth shattering or revolutionary - but I found it to be a good read & the tone of the book was never condescending or insulting. IMO.0

I think you can find out lots of information that's free rather than spending money all the time. I signed up for something that was a download and I get stuff in my email just about everyday trying to sell me something else as well. Whatever helps you and keeps you motivated will be your own key to losing weight. There will always be someone out there selling something to lose weight. It takes hard work and dedication to yourself to keep weight off. Good luck with whatever you decide, remember you are worth it and get out there and lose!!!0

You can get most of this information for free, for example check out:

I have no idea what the second and third thing is... I'm going to google it!
I bought Rusty Moore's Visual Impact for women (there is one for men) and I'm loving it, it was worth the $50.00, but I was in need of updating my knowledge because I hadn't done so at all since the 90's. He talks a lot about fat burning in his ebook.0 -

Nope. It's a very good website with its focus on sound, science-based principles, but it doesn't come close to some of the advanced stuff taught by Venuto in his BTFFTM book.
I do agree however, that the information is out there and it is free..... See Lyle McDonald, Alan Aragon, Martin Berkhan...0 -
I read most of it a few weeks ago. AN AMAZING book in my opinion. Funny how when I started following the tips it gave, I lost 6 pounds (over 3 weeks). I honestly don't understand what some of the people on here found wrong with it.0

or ya can get it from a friend who got it from a friends
it does have some very good info0 -
It's a good book with sound info, but like others said, you can find the same info here and other places for free.
However, the book has the advantage of sorting out the BS you find on the internet and the real info, so it could save you some time. It can be pretty hard to sort through all of the BS to find all of the good info, this book does the work for you.0 -

It's general information you are paying an arm and a leg for. It's a waste of money.0 -
It's my go to book and very detailed and explanatory.
I read a lot of health books and it's one I always come back to. I never buy ebooks- but I did buy his and his advice is worth every penny. His other book is a bit more readable (less technical) and is available on Amazon.0 -

That's not true, simple as that.
If you are well read and know your stuff there isn't a nutrtion or fitness book that's going to teach you a lot. However, when used as a resource or by someone less studied on the subject, it's great.
It's only a waste of money if you already know a lot about nutrition and fitness and have no need to refresh memory.0 -
*shrug*
Yeah, why pay good money for a book when you can just log on to MFP and read hundreds and hundreds of pages of misinformation.
Why go to college or learn anything for that matter? The general information is all out there.0 -
I just bought "The Body Fat Solution" by Tom Venuto on Amazon. Should get it today or tomorrow. I've been reading some of his blog and stuff online and enjoy it. I'm looking forward to the book.
