Hello,

I wonder if anyone can offer insight- I’m 50 and a pushing the over weight category and haven’t found a way to lose this weight! My workouts are sporadic right now, but was working out 3-5x/week. I have a sedentary job and work from home. Any suggestions or encouragement is welcome! Thanks

To lose weight, you have to be in a calorie deficit, which just means eating less.

I am also 50. Started a new regime in January and have lost 24 pounds. Daily calorie intake of about 1250 calories. I started quite slowly with the exercise. I tried to walk 4 to 5 k every day at a brisk pace. Now after three months I walk 5k five times a week and run 5k twice a week. You would be amazed how much you can progress. The first 5k run nearly killed me and now I'm down to 28 minutes. Build slowly and do what you can on any given day. It took two weeks before I saw any progress on the scales so perseverence is the key. Drink plenty of water! Best of luck. Hope this helps.
