Hi everyone I’m new to all this fitness game. Really need to loose about 16lb. Always on the go so don’t have time for proper meals so it’s mainly been fast food / dinners or salads (that’s the only real healthy bit

I really like your avatar! It makes me happy
if you’re constantly on the go, then perhaps you can do some meal prep. Cut up some veggies, or fruit, throw in some protein or nuts, but have something readily available. I understand we are all busy, but you need to plan if you want to see some results. Logging your food is a big help to get you started to see where you might be struggling with...welcome! 2 -
Hi happykat5 I have started to log my food and it has been helping. I think I need to find a good food plan to follow. Just not sure how or what I should be eating.0

The best food plan for you is what you can realistically do (read that as what you can do AND honestly do.). Make a plan that incorporates the foods you like and add in some things that you may not eat now, but are willing to try and those you simply won’t eat. So, if you really aren’t willing to give up, let’s say chips. Write them into your plan within your calories for the day. You want a diet plan, but what if it says...eat a grapefruit at noon each day and you don’t like grapefruit, you won’t succeed. You get my drift. When I first starting eating better. Ziploc bags and Tupperware were my best friends. Put things in their portion sizes and know what their caloric value is. You eat it. You log it. And be honest about it. You eat 3 bags of Doritos and now you only have 950 calories left for the rest of the day? You may not like it, but at least you know. The truth can hurt sometimes, but it also helps too.

I'm hoping to become acquainted with this site; love that it shows nutritional value for meals. I am of the elderly group of ladies; have been busy the last three years with caring for elderly parents, now in nursing home and needing to make my health a top priority now, also. Frigid winters are tough in MN; so need to get into exercise and daily stretches, also. I need to make this work.
