Large weight gain :(

Scale says I gained 8 pounds in 5 days. I know it’s a ton of water weight bc I have been eating super unhealthy this week. What do you guys do to recover from weeks like this? It’s ok I know it will go down but what do you do to make yourselves feel better?

Go back to eating normally. And get some exercise, even if it's only a walk (not to punish myself or to try to make up for the extra calories, but because if I'm feeling sluggish or bloated or just "blah" from the extra calories, exercise makes me feel better).9

Yes, go back to eating normally. Drink water. And yes, a walk is always beneficial. It feels good just to get outside!3

Apart from eating unhealthy how many calories have you eaten?
If I have gained a couple of pounds of fat (appart from water) due to going over calories (which in my case is usually planned) I would feel better about it as soon as I prelog my meals for the next day (which I always do). I eat what I have prelogged more often than not.
Also I believe in myself that I will go back to losing as soon as possible (which I always have done, I never give up).

I take a weekend "off" each month, and then I go back to the plan. The water weight is really tough to deal with psychologically, because it seems to keep piling on for a few days after I've gone back to my diet instead of just falling off again immediately. But I know I'm not going to lose it by quitting, so what's the alternative?
Put your head down and get back on track. It's how success works.5 -
Hydrate, log everything to the gram , be honest with all of the logging and avoid the scale for a week0

Yep, water will wash out all that sodium (and GI back-up). A saw-toothed weight graph is normal--just like the stock market.0

It's happened to me too. High sodium meals, time of month and such.0
