I like to drink, but I think it is my greatest anti-motivator since it makes me want to press the snooze bar too many times when I should be getting up by 5:20 to get my workout in. Since I'm starting all over again on here, I really need to curb the drinking and lower my tolerance so I don't overdo it!

It's a lot easier for me to cut weight if I keep it to a minimum with alcohol...I don't always follow that though, so sometimes my cuts can be pretty slow.

As often as it's possible to accommodate the empty calories within calorie goal, without either seriously compromising overall good nutrition, or becoming an actual problem drinker.

I love coconut tequila on the rocks but the problem is that it leads to munching snacks .

    It's exactly this.

    CICO

    Just be honest with yourself.

I know I put on weight because I:

    a) eat poorly
    b) take little exercise
    c) drink too much

By fixing a) & b) I'm able to lose weight (10.8kg, 12% of my weight since Jan) while continuing to c).

The problem with this is, to be completely honest with you, is I know I should cut out c) for the sake of my liver. However, having cut out smoking (20 a day habit), completely overhauled my diet and started exercising four times a week, I'm really not interested in whether I drink too much or not. Got to have some fun or you'll end up as one of the frequently encountered food fascists who say "oops!!!! :):):)" when they have a single glass of wine.
