Hi I’m Tammy. I had bariatric surgery 2 years ago and starting to gain my weight back. My doctor told me about MyFitnessPal back when I first had my surgery, he said it would be a great support for me. I didn’t listen until now. So here I am! Ready to get back down to my weight I was after my surgery! I’m finding it very useful and I’m seeing what I am eating and it’s helping me a lot! I’m hoping to find a good supportive community on here with the encouragement I need to get back on track! I’m walking a lot now. Actually walking the causeway tonight!

Welcome,
I think these two links are extremely helpful and can help you get the most out of MFP:
http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1234699/logging-accurately-step-by-step-guide/p1
http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1
The first covers accurate logging and some of the tools in MFP to help you make things easier. The second discusses caloric needs and setting goals. These two posts completely changed [a friend's] MFP experience and helped [them] be much more successful, so I hope they do the same for you.
For more friends check out these threads which ended up gaining a lot of traction.

Hi, I'm back on MFP. I've been off of it for at least 6 months. I'm at a plateau on my weight loss for the last 6 weeks. I've lost 25 pounds since a heart attack in Feb. 2017. Best advise that I've received is from a doctor who praised Weight Watchers and then shocked me by saying "I don't want you to lose weight. I want you to focus on not gaining weight. Weight yourself every morning. If you've gained weigh, eat less, exercise, walk do something to lose it. Eventually you will start to lose weight. That advice and 2 drugs for diabetes type 2 - Victoza and Tresiba have really helped a lot. Also walking 2 miles at lunch time, personal trainer, and physical therapy for a bad shoulder and knee. Now what do I do to get past this plateau?0
