Spare room ideas

Hey guys I am currently in the process of re designing my bf spare room, I will be living here soon so we are trying to do something with 1 of the spare rooms. He has turned one into an office space, pretty useful I guess. But the other, it has a sofa that can be folded down as a guest bed. So I am thinking about turning it into a relaxation room, it has great views of woodlands & his back garden so it is already quite a peaceful room to be in. I quite like getting together to play board games (scrabble, monopoly card games etc) when the mood takes me so i will probably keep stuff like that up there, some nice mood lighting, plants candles and just generally relaxing things. A space to go to just chill out, no electronic stuff.
What would you turn your spare room into?

We just moved a few months ago and our house has a large "bonus room". The previous owners used it as a media room/theater. We're in the process of making it into a rec room. We're also going to have California Closets come out and install a couple of twin murphy beds so it will double as a guest room...mostly for my wife's parents.
For now, it's going to have a large screen t.v. and we'll put the Xbox in there...my kids are still young so we have a row of toy bins. Planning on getting an air hockey table and throw some bean bags in there as well. I'm making a "gun rack" for the wall so the kids can store their nerf guns there.
Eventually, once the kids are older, I want to put a pool table in there.1 -

My two spare rooms are an office and a workout room. If I move the bench out, I have a full size TV/video gaming console and gaming chairs so its 2-1 room.1

My bf was planning putting a tv on the wall but I pointed out we already have 2 tv's so it's enough for us both. I'm kinda thinking about putting a wee bookshelf up, neither of us are avid readers but I think if I had some books up there id probably end up lifting one. I was also gona put the Xbox in there but it's fine in the living room. The spare room we have isn't too big and it will have to be multi functional so I'm trying to work round the fact it has a sofa bed in there.
Yeah, the t.v. in there is mostly so my wife and I can watch something besides Paw Patrol in the living room.
It's nice that the kids play in there and when their friends come over, they mostly hang out in there or outside so there aren't toys strewn all over the house. I still step on a lego from time to time though.0 -

You could probably get a decent power rack, some weights, a bar, a bench, and a treadmill or some cardio type machine then have a great home gym setup.1

We have 3 spare rooms...
One is my gym
One is the husbands man cave (with sofa bed for guests)
One is the junk/spare room where washing lives and dries.0 -

Similar. My spare room is my "celebrity closet" (very scaled-down version). Instead of closets though I have everything set out where I can see where it all is and it's all organized by area: workout clothes, coats / jackets, shoes, etc.0 -
I've always wanted to turn a spare room into a "crazy" room. Cover the walls with maps, newspaper clippings, B&W photos of people taken from far away through a long telephoto lens, and other things like that, and a bunch of red string zig-zagging back and forth. Ideally, you also want an unfinished concrete floor and to light the room with a single, bare lightbulb hanging down by a wire from the middle of the ceiling.3

I would post 1 but atm it's full of cat beds, thier toilet box etc it's a bit cluttered the now so you wouldn't be able to get a good idea. I will clear it up soon and take a pic.
but where are the kitties going to go? FTR I think the ultimate cat fort would be an awesome use of an extra room0 -

That's what always ends up happening with me.0 -
My hubby wants to turn ours into a old school video store (Like Blockbuster), using our VHS tapes that we have collected through the years. I would rather have a library.0

We have a spare room I claimed for myself. It's my dressing room and sacred space. I get ready in there in the mornings so I don't wake up the whole house. Bonus for being able to light incense any time I want, including at 6AM if I feel the need to.0
