Curbing PMS fueled cravings

I start getting insatiably hungry and crave sweets and carbs about 7-10 days prior to my period. It makes staying on a healthy, moderate eating plan so tough. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them!

Maybe you're still undereating? What is your calorie target, and your height and weight?

Up your protein intake in the week before. It is hard and i do allow a little extra because i have major PMS binges if i do not.
So i do take a piece of chocolate when i need it, but skip eating the whole bar.

I stopped fighting the cravings, and started just trying to manage them a bit, I take a couple of days at maintenance and increase my carbs a bit, this has stopped me going on all-out binges most months.

Sweets and carbs won't make you fat if you manage them into your calorie intake, and if it's only a couple of days a month then it's not going to have any lasting impact.

Currently fighting that, only mine is typically during. I can typically eat my breakfast and not even think about food until 11 or so... not so much when it's that time of the month. This morning it was 9:45 and I was starving. I even made sure to eat extra protein for breakfast and apparently that didn't work. However, chocolate protein bars/shakes are really good for the sweet tooth craving. As far as comfort foods, cauliflower mashed potatoes with a little cheese do the trick.
