Hi

I have linked my Fitbit with my fitness pal and although it seems that the two are synched my fitness pal is not recording the associated calories burned via my daily step count.

I have tried to disconnect and reconnect from both MFP and Fitbit apps but cannot solve the issue.

Can anyone help please?

Thank you

If MFP and Fitbit are synced but you are not seeing Fitbit steps, on the MFP mobile app go to Menu > Steps, or on the web version go to APPS > Steps, and make sure Fitbit Tracker is selected as the Step Source.

If you are seeing steps but no "exercise" Calories, perhaps you have not yet taken enough steps (moved enough) to earn more Calories than you get from your MFP self-estimated Activity Level. I do not start getting a positive Fitbit Calorie Adjustment until I have exceeded 2500 steps per day when set to MFP Sedentary Activity Level.

You will start getting a positive Fitbit Calorie Adjustment when the Fitbit estimate has exceeded the estimated amount of Calories burned based on your MFP Activity Setting and weight loss rate. If you are set at Sedentary (Not Very Active), you should start seeing a positive adjustment for the whole day above 2500 to 3000 steps. If you are set at Lightly Active, you may not get a positive adjustment until you reach about 5000 steps. Higher MFP Activity Levels require higher number of steps before the adjustment becomes positive.

I have negative adjustments enabled, so when I get up and have not done many steps, my adjustment is negative. As I move around, the adjustment increases throughout the day and usually turns positive.

I would recommend reading through the first three posts in this thread on the MFP Fitbit Users group...

This happens periodically. Usually it sorts itself out if I disconnect the Fitbit app, log out, log back in and reconnect.

Having said that, mine has lost the connection again today, despite resetting it yesterday.

So, I'm here due to the same problem, only when I try to disconnect the fitbit from MFP, it doesn't do anything (just goes back to the fitbit "page". And basically, it hasn't recorded my steps for a long time now. Any suggestions there?

I was having the same issue. I clicked on my “more” tab at the bottom right corner of MFP and chose the sync option. Went back to my home dashboard and all of my steps and calories burned were updated.
