I know that cardio such as running is great for fat loss, but for me going outside is not that convenient. Which exercises have helped you lose fat the most effectively??

Eating at a deficit is what helps you lose fat. Exercise alone won't help you lose fat, unless you are burning more calories than you are eating. It takes a lot of exercise to make a noticeable difference. Exercise is good for your health and will allow you to eat a bit more than if you aren't exercising, but it isn't enough to make you lose a lot of fat.
If you don't want to exercise outside, get some exercise dvds or check out sites like fitness blender for exercises you can do at home. You can do Leslie Sansome walking videos. Or get a treadmill, exercise bike, rowing machine, or elliptical, whatever you think you might actually do on a regular basis. You can also just dance, if that's something you enjoy doing.3 -
I'll do yard work, jillian, 7 minute workout (several times), or yoga with Adrienne (on YouTube). I also try to stick little workouts in my day: while cooking dinner, I'll do pushups or leg lifts using the counter top, or other arm exercises. I keep my weights in my living room (just 10, 15, and 20lbs) to stick extra workouts in when I get a minute. My favorite at home workout is "horseback riding."1

The best at home is the one you do at home.3

I recommend checking out darebee.com - they have lots of different workouts and graduated programmes, for all different fitness levels. I have a couple of faves, but on days when I’m just not feeling it I can swap around a little for variety.1

Calorie deficit is the only thing for losing fat. If you're doing exercise to assist in meeting your deficit, to allow for more calories or to increase your fitness then the best one will be the one you keep to. The difference in calories burned is negligible compared to the difference if you start skipping workouts because you don't enjoy it.
Also are you looking for something you can do with no/minimal equipment?1 -
I have a large collection of dumbells bench and pull up bar. So I do weight lifting and strength at home. IMO this is far greater for fat burning than cardio. Look up body weight strength training if you don't have equipment. Push ups, Pull ups, Squats, Lunges, Hip bridges, Pike push ups or if you can hand stand push ups. Etc. Also tryout Plyo metrics1

Muscle can't turn into fat and fat can't turn into muscle. Exercise is always beneficial and can burn additional calories which can increase deficit. In the end it is the deficit that causes your body to consume stored fat. For inside exercises I always enjoy planks, sit ups, push ups and stretching. The only thing you need is a mat. Beyond that there are loads of video workouts that will damn near kill you if you want to go hard core.1

Eat less food.
Move more.
You CANNOT exercise fat away. So forget whatever you think you know about running to lose weight.
The only exercise you need to practice to lose weight is portion control. Not being harsh. Just being real.
If you actually want to be healthy though. Push ups, planks, pull ups, stretching, and squats will all help get you moving more and make you more capable. None of those will tone you.3 -

LOL I do pushups on the counter as well, I thought I was on my own with that.0 -
If you're stuck inside and have minimal equipment, it's easy to incorporate a workout into the things you do everyday. Dance while you cook/clean, jogging on spot, jumping jacks, squats and lunges while you watch tv etc. Hope this helps a bit.
Happy Exercising!0
