I just started "6 hers" for about 7 days and now I m having a side effect that I am not sure is related to the pills. Has anyone ever had side effects with diet pills. Well I have tried Hcut that just makes you jittery and Alli does make you want to poop in you pants (that one is gross) but anything else let me know. Is anyone taking this same pill now??

  • i am taking three different kinds of pills together. along with 5 hour energy shots, and monsters.

as far as pills, i take:
    dexatrim max
    metabolife ultra
    stacker 3 xplc

i wouldnt reccommend doing this at all, i know it's unhealthy. Trust me my heart has suffered. All i can tell you is that they don't give me the runs, but it does make your heart race, you may even pass out... and i have severe headaches.

the best advice i can give you is to not start or continue to use diet pillls. They will only hinder your progress in the long run.

Hope i was of some help.

Diet pills......hm, well they definitely will have side effects no doubt. The jittery part is probably the caffeine.

Lots and lots of thread in the archives here on MFP about both these items and lots of opinions as well.

I have so much incredible energy from working out with that and clean eating I'm not quite sure what I'd do with more energy than I have now:wink::bigsmile:

Excercise is also an appetite suppresant in it's own right if that's what you're looking for the use of pills for. What exactly are you looking for diet pills to provide for you?

Please be careful, sometimes side effects can't be reversed.:ohwell: :noway:

I must agree with FC. Diet pills are not the answer. I have a friend who went to the Dr for pills. She lost the same amount of weight as me, just in 3 months time.

She is now treating for a heart condition related to the pills.

If you change your life.....really change.......you will find you have more energy than you know what to do with!!

While this is great advice re: not using them, I'm wondering why you are? Aren't you afraid of having a stroke? That's a very real risk at that level of stimulant. You could be left without the ability to speak, or with paralysis affecting an entire plane of the body. It really is cause for concern.

    Blah.

    Diet pills are dumb.

    There. I said it.

I took some pills when I was about 21. Was also eating very little. Working out a lot. STUPID.

    THEY DON'T WORK.

If you can't lose weight without them, you will never be able to keep it off. You will gain it right back and then some.

Why not lose weight the way that is 1)safe, 2)proven, 3)has long-lasting effects?

ps - the answer to losing weight that has those 3 characteristics is eating healthy and exercising.

I use them for the energy, basically. I don't naturally have that energy otherwise, i guess you could say i've become dependent on them? I dont want to go into too much detail as to why i use them. Because i dont want to make it seem right, when it's clearly not. It's unhealthy. And no, i dont worry about having a stroke. I use it for the (minimal) weight loss. When one wasn't working i tacked on another, and another, and so on and so forth.

Even better! I know of several great ways to get more energy....
    More sleep.
    More nutritious foods.
    More exercise.

If it's not working, then why don't you switch to healthy eating and moderate exercise? You might find you have more energy that way.

I checked your profile, and I saw that you said you have an eating disorder. I used to be dependent on diet pills and had an eating disorder for years. It's an addiction. During the worst of it, I didn't think it was a problem. It "worked" for me and didn't hurt anyone else - I thought. So I know it's hard. I agree with getting help - there's nothing wrong with asking for support and help to become healthy.

    We're here for ya.

I understand everyone being nice and all but this level of stimulants is EXTREMELY dangerous...if she was my sister I would get right in her face and make her quit this nonsense. Ms. Sweetcorruption...you say you are not worred about stroke...WHY NOT? PLEASE stop taking all three....diet pills as you admit might give minimal help...but three at once is scary...I dont even know you and I am scared just thinking about it. AT LEAST get a Doctor to advise you...

So, are you saying you don't mind if you have a stroke, or you're just not aware of the risk of having one?

Please see a doctor. I had a friend who struggled with an eating disorder and a diet pill addiction. She ended up having a massive stroke in her mid 20s and now half of her body is partially paralyzed. She's lucky to still be alive. DOn't do this to yourself.
