You can't pick and choose where you lose weight. If your body loses weight around the midsection, cool. It might not. Keep to a calorie deficit and work on gaining muscle.6

Sounds like you need to get some strength training in and lift some weights, get squats, etc in. There's lots of stuff online. You can even use a band to help; I use one at home when I don't wanna go to the gym.1

I am an official treadmill hater. When I lost 50 pounds and my entire beer gut this is what I did. I started running outdoors with short running intervals playing a GPS based game (ingress.com). This slow build up allowed me to transition to just running. I ended up doing 4.7 miles M-W-F and a quick Nautilus set on the way home. 7.5 miles on Tue, Thurs and a 10 mile long run on the weekend. I did 16 minutes of planks daily. Although I cut back I still drank beer and wine so you may be able to this with a little less running. Gut is the last place I lose fat and now that I have put 20 lbs back on it is the first place I gain it too.1

I struggled with those muscles for a while after kids. It is the last place I gain weight and first place I lose. I started feeling strength in that area by simply walking. Then I started riding my bike and that area was very strong and didn't feel as soft. Eating at a calorie deficit is the perfect combo to see results (lose fat for the muscle to show).0

You can't target specific areas of your body for fat loss, and where the fat comes off first is a genetic thing. The only thing to do is to keep losing fat. It will come off your belly sooner or later.
So continue eating at a calorie deficit and keep up with the cardio. Add some strength training. The exercise ensures more weight loss comes from fat than muscle.3 -
spot reducing fat is not possible, but sticking with compound movements that recruit/target multiple muscles is the next best thing. squats, deadlifts, overhead press, bench press, pullups, rows, etc.0

I too have a belly. Been under a dietitian for a month and loosing. I can see it going from my face, arms legs and back but still the belly. I have 25 kilos to go yet. I started walking and now power walking and starting to run a bit. The PT told me to do interval training and start planking so as the weight drops so should the belly tighten.0

I'm shocked no one has said Fork Put-Downs as best exercise yet!
There are literally zero exercises you can do to remove belly fat. All you can do is continue to eat at a deficit to lose weight, and do exercises that will work your ab muscles so when you DO lose the weight you'll have something nice underneath showing.
@malibu927 linked to the best thread on the boards for helping you with this, I'd definitely recommend giving it some time and going through it. Well worth the read...1 -

Core exercises like planking help ensure that you actually have abs to show once the fat goes away, and can help with a flatter profile since better muscle tone means you won't have a tummy bulge from slack muscles, but it won't help get rid of the fat.0
