Hi all,

I have done something to my foot, got to go to the doctors this week but it looks like a tendon. I can't walk on it so this means I have been driving to work and haven't been able to work out in the mornings. NO EXERCISE!! This is not good at all. I need to exercise to earn me some more calories so i can have that little bit extra.
Before giving me ideas, swimming is out of the question. I tried going and turns out the pool can only be used at certain times of the day for swimming as its lost a few in the earthquake and the times are during the day. This is ridiculous because full time workers miss out!!
I have thought about using my stationary bike but I was told it will still be bad for the foot with the pressure of the peddle.
Please help me, im begging!!

Boxing. Can even be done in a seated position. Better yet, boxing on a bag with gloves. Can burn up to 600 calories an hour.

  • Ahh i never thought about just doing weights.... it doesn't burn many calories though does it?

If you just carry on with you low calorie diet you should still lose weight. I got injured, both feet had 2 inch blisters and i twisted my ankle two days later and lost 1lb that week and i only worked out 2 times too.

Oh no, fingers crossed it's not the tendon.
I split mine a year ago and had the operation this March (yay for the UK health system and their waiting times), I was in a cast, no weight bearing for 4.5 weeks, That year of not being able to exercise got me into the mess of needing to lose weight.

I know it sucks, but I wouldnt do anything until you hear from your doc what it is. Just eat well and aim for not gaining rather than getting upset about not losing.
