Hi everyone! I am a 39 year old wife & mother of 3 kiddos who are 7, 10 & 15. I work full time & like most people, we are busy running around most of the time. I started the Keto lifestyle a month ago & I am down 8/9 lbs. I wish I would have taken before measurements b/c I know I am smaller in some areas, but not sure how much! I am loving it so far & can’t wait to keep going!
Is anyone else a Keto-er?

I started the Keto life 18 days ago. I had been doing low carb for about two years prior. Since starting Keto, I started at 202lbs and a 37in waist. I am down to 189lbs and a 33.5in waist. Down 13lbs and 3.5in in 18 days. I did take a PT test recently and noticed a huge loss in energy for the best test results. I workout everyday, but to test is a different thing. Have you noticed this happening? Should I do a carb up the night before?1

2 months in and love it! I’d suggest joining the Low Carb Forum here...people keep clicking “woo” whenever I speak of keto-happiness. I’ve lost close to 10 lbs and have amazing energy. The first few weeks were rough, but it’s been smooth sailing since then. Feel free too add me.2

Amazing loss! The physical stamina took about 4-5 weeks to return for me...keep it up and you will be rocking those workouts soon!

I’m in my fourth month and although I take breaks, I’m pretty sure I’m in this for the long haul. I know my life would be much easier if I just ate moderate amounts of whatever I like, but I’m 37 and in my life I’ve never been able to manage moderation.
I’ve lost weight before due to external changes—moves, relationships, jobs, etc.—but when I try to lose on purpose I go off the rails in a month or less. Now I’ve been tracking and losing right on schedule for the last three months, and I’m 20lbs down and my wedding dress fits again. It’s going exactly the way things go for people who have healthy, uncomplicated relationships with food, and I had given up on ever being one of them.
I turn right back into “me” again on my break weekends, though. I thought that when I hit my goal weight I’d go off keto, but now I’m not sure that’s a viable option for me. Keto is like a pair of corrective glasses, and while I may hope my vision will spontaneously fix itself I’m not going to stumble around blindly while I wait for that to happen. I’ll happily live with some inconveniences if it means I get to be in control of my eating.3
