Probably not a new idea, but I now snack on fruit mostly. I love strawberries, watermelon. I sometimes have a piece of toast with peanut butter if I have exercised heavily. It always seems to give me an energy boost. I know the bread is carbs but I believe that my body still needs enough carbs if I am exercising every day.

    Chocolate... no.. wait

I slice up protein bars and freeze them. Once they're hard you can put them in a baggie. A couple thin slices makes me happy :-)

Fresh veggies and hummus! Measured amounts of nuts. . . .Fresh fruit.
  • It depends on how snacky I am. Like right now, I ate a Protein bar. However, that was because I didn't spread my meals well enough today and still had 568 calories before bed (and began to get the hunger hiccups that hurt so bad.). However, on a normal day, I like to snack on fruits and veggies. Tomatos are my favorite snack, especially if they're vine-ripe or right from my garden.

Seasonal fruit, rice crackers, pistachios; when travelling I keep Praventia bars and Sunprype fruit-to-go in my bag.

If i don't have many calories left in the day and i'm hungry I go for a Mintabolism Boost protein bar- i just discovered them, they're a bit pricey where i live, but yummy, like eating a choc mint rice krispie bar. Low fat/sugar, and realllly high protein! Good after a workout too. Failing that i go for a low fat string cheese mozarella stick- 70 cals and high protein. I'm in a bit of a muscle building phase....

I find i go way over my sugar allowance if i overdo the fruit.
