My resting heart rate appears to be 99BPM. This is very high...
I assume exercising will help this, but am I at any other risks? And will it affect my fat burn?

Just a suggestion but everyone should check with their doctor before starting a new diet or exercise program.

There are other factors that need to be considered such as blood pressure and current weight/weight to lose. If the amount of weight you need to lose is significant, you should consult with your doctor and a fitness expert before starting a program. The main thing is you need to make healthy food choices and get your body moving!0

I've always had a very high heart rate, even when I was young & skinny in high school...
I need to lose ~5-6st... So not huge amounts...
My blood pressure has always been good I believe, or at least I've never had any doctor comment it was high/low as far as I can recall...
Last time I saw the doctor when I was exercising they had no objection to eating well & exercising.0 -

I am a Cardiac Sonographer (ultrasound). 99 bpm is not alarming (the norm is 60-80 bpm). However, I would make an appointment with your doctor and have things checked out, especially if this is a new change.0
