how much is a cup of water?

Hi,
I'm rather confused about how much water counts as a cup? And also if my mugs of coffee( I'm addicted),count towards my water consumption?

    coffee does not count as water niether does any other fluid other than water, a cup of water you should be aiming at 300ml, but the more water you have the better

    a cup is half a pint.

    in the FAQs on this site, it says they are counting 8oz as a cup of water. Just keep drinking!
