I am seriously considering buying a hrm. My zumba instructor said that to get a good one, you would probably spend close to 100 bucks. Not thrilled with that kind of money spent, but do want one that does what it is suppose to. Can anyone let me know if they have a good one, what brand and price? I would appreciate any help. I want to make a wise purchase and whatever i end up spending want to be happy with the purchase. Thanks!!

Anything by Polar is good. You can find them decently priced online (I got mine on Amazon as well) if you shop around a bit!

Polar FT4 or FT7.. both are good monitors.

Honestly, your Zumba instructor is right... you go too cheap, and your going to be disappointed. Look on Amazon, you can get the Polars I mentioned for a reasonable price.

Think of it as an investment :) I ummeed and ahhed for ages before ordering the polar ft7, and I love it!! It really motivates me, and I was way overestimating my calorie burn before I started using it.

Polar FT7 is what I chose after doing tons of research and trying 3 other ones.
I got it off Amazon for $70 or so... .not bad and definitely worth it.
