Hi I am new here and started with this lovely and interesting App. 17 days ago. I am 128lb and my goal is to become 118 lb like I was before. I was wondering if this website can help everybody even people who has slim figure already. The reason I am asking this is that I have tried for 17 days and ate very close to the amount of suggested calories, I've been active and did beach volleyball on Mondays, single tennis on Wednesdays and other forms of exercise (walking, swimming, yoga, running) whenever I could. I have done this all but there has been no change in my weight whatsoever. I've read about how others loose weight in the first and second week and then it slows down and compare myself and wonder why there has been no change at all in my case. Is this because my weight is not very high? Is this because I am doing something wrong? Is this too soon for me to expect and changes? I am really looking for some answers to be able to go back to how I was. It is not that I don't like the way I am now, but since I noticed my belly fat and love handles growing, I thought I need to be more active and go towards the weight I was before.
I appreciate any suggestion.
Thanks!

How many calories are you eating now?0

Are you eating back your exercise calories? And netting a healthy amount? Or are you exercising like a loon, and not feeding your body?0

Maybe try doing a custom setting for a calorie goal and set it 200-300 calories lower. 1200 wasn't working out for me so I set my goal to 1000. I'm plateauing right now but it helped me lose weight instead of just staying the same like I was for a long time.0

It can work for everyone but if you don't have much to lose it is important not to have too large of a caloric deficit. I would suggest a weekly weight loss goal of 0.5lbs, and make sure you are eating back most or all of the calories you burn from exercise. having a small deficit when you don't have much to lose is important as it will set you up for maintenance and help ensure that while you lose weight most of it is coming from fat instead of muscle.0 -
Remember your body will want to stay at a happy weight! If you are very lean already then yes it will be harder. ADD in resitance training to help. CLEAN HEALTHY FOODS! 118 DOES NOT SOUND LIKE A VERY HEALTHY WEIGHT!0

If 1200 isn't working I would suggest increasing by 100-200, not decreasing it.0 -

If she is under 5'5" 118 is a healthy weight, it would be an ideal weight from someone around 5'4" with "average" amount of muscle and is medium framed.0 -
Sometimes 1200 is too low for some people! I, personally, was on 1200 but felt sick and dizzy but upped cals to 1400-1500 and am losing a lot faster than before whilst feeling better as well0

If you are down to your last 10 lbs and already active it will take a lot longer to shed those last lbs. Since I've been in the my last 10 lbs for the past 2-3 mths I have a very slow loss of maybe 2 lbs a month. The best advice is to eat clean, kick butt in your workouts (you seem to be doing that already), and take 1-2 rest days per week.0

It works for people who work it. Anyone, regardless of what they weigh, can get a better hold of their diet by conscietiously recording what they eat. There are alot of scientific studies that show that. I would suggest working in different types of exercise and strength training and avoid the temptation of dropping your calories too low. You may also need to be more careful about your carb/protein/fats distribution. Good luck to you!0

It is definitly hard, and you'll hit plateus along the way, since you are slim to begin with, I would say weigh your self every three weeks, or take measurements instead...I noticed that as I keep loosing weight, it's getting tougher and tougher to get to my goal! but no giving up, we just gotta keep going! =D Good luck to ya, and remember your body will build muscle as well. meet your 1200 and eat some of your burned calories back. Also don't forget to add a lil strenght training in therE!0

have you done your measurments? muscle weighs more that fat. You may be surprised if you do your measurment and keep track that way. I think you should continue the program, if nothing else you are pry eating healthier0
